We draw inspiration from nature. We are in our elements dealing with photography, publications, television, film and stage. The web site presents the activity of Jaroslaw Chyra who in the circle of his experienced and wonderful friends realizes projects based on three steps: get to know nature, take to it, and feel the respect for it as well as the need of protection. Here are the projects which enable you to get to know nature and maybe you will grow fond of it and if so... . All in Your hands! Come in!
GRAZYNA REMISZEWSKA - RED FOREST
In 2006 Grazyna Remiszewska was invitated by Alfons Karny's Museum of Sculpture and thanks to Bialowieza National Park she worked on series of sculptures entitled "The Red Forest". She worked heavily. The exhibition came into being in Zwierzyniec area, in the centre of the virginal forest and its overpowering influence. One month later it went out into the world. We had pleasure to document the artist's work on a photographic plate. These photos can also be found in exhibition catalogue. Let's give the authoress the floor. The following words are her introduction to catalogue "The Red Forest":
"I wanted to square up to the forest. This forest.
Year ago, the moment I entered it for the first time I knew that sculptures 'Red Forest' would come into being. That strength of his greenness has to crash with my red. And we shall see... Who win who? I him or he me? Who will win?
In spring I began working in Zwierzyniec settlement near Bialowieza. Right in the heart of the forest. I used dead tree, sentenced on oblivion, rotting roots and branches killled by axe. I gave them second life and new sense by conserving and settling them on the pedestals. Sense of the victorious red. I finished work today on 'Red Forest'.
It was like 'red madness'.
I pass these sculptures to you like a book to read. In front of me...
